ISP’s and Dial-in
Service Solutions
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are the gateway to Internet
access for business, potential customers and occasional users.
ISPs come in two varieties:-
Those that offer a point of access to the Internet and
its resources for their subscribers.
Those that provide services on the Internet for business
and individual users who already have access.
Some ISPs offer both services.
How to Setup an ISP
In order to establish a presence as an ISP, the following
is the minimum required:
- An organisation to provide Internet access to your ISP,
a bandwidth wholesaler.
- A communications line to that organisation.
- Hardware and Software to manage Internet communications
and connectivity.
- Manpower to manage the above.
- Dial-in lines to connect others to your Internet gateway
(optional).
